Load-Rite ran the brake lines through the frame tubes to the axle. I'm wondering how easy is it to do the same without damaging the new brake line or can I just run the line along the inside of the frame (on the side of the frame tube) and form bends as needed to get around the U-bolts holding the axle to the frame?

Easy to run lines inside the tubes.

Have done it using both Stainless and rubber brake lines

I am assuming you have a closed tube trailer.

The problem with brake lines inside the frame is that they just don't sit stationary in there. They are constantly moving around wearing out the line. If they aren't stainless, they are rusting to death in the water that is always in there.

Personally, I use rubber lines now going down the length of the frame.

I use 90/10 Cupronickle

easy to make brake lines and they dont rust

I have run them inside the tubes as well as mounted outside the tubes.

if you mount outside, use plastic tube clips

my current trailer is a C-channel construction, so running inside the C was easy.
