I had to take off my intake manifold today to get the oil reservoir out, that's another story, I noticed after removing it that there was no gasket between the metal on the manifold and the carb. Is this common practice on a Rotax PWC engine? I found some diagrams online and they listed no part for a gasket in said position. Just looking for a sanity check; first time I've had to take apart anything on a PWC (amazingly).

It's a 2000 Seadoo GTI

I thought it should have one but I checked online and found one

well the one i was looking for goes between the airbox and the very top of the carb. I called a guy at a place and he told me to use a tiny, thin bead of liquid gasket. Now that I think about it i saw a little residue from the previous application.

That solves that I suppose.
