Hi, my polaris mxz 150 just went to take it for a spin, and it starts perfectly but when you give it gas it just rev's high and basically red-lines. Kinda reminds of a car with a clutch that's going. It moves in idle mode, but but not when you give it gas.

Any ideas is very appreciated

Hard to believe the wear ring could be that worn out. What does the pump and impeller assembly look like ? If you shine a light up through the intake grate and observe from behind the nozzle, you should barely be able to see light coming through around the impeller blades. Good luck !!!

Thank you, I will check. This thing has been a lemon since day 1. I think I already have well over $3000. in repaires and it only has 80 hours on it. FYI- Stay away from POLARIS WATERCRAFT !!!!!!!!!

Sell it to me......I would check out the coupler. Where the crank joins with the pump shaft, the rubber can wear out and slip under higher rmp's at idle it may have enough friction to act like it is fine.

Thanks, I'm going to pull it out for better inspection. Any chance it could be a clogged intake ?

Yoou should be able to see a clogged intake problem. Ditto on Polaris watercraft. I have a 2002 Virage I. It is a beautiful machine to ride. (When it runs) Actually it runs great. Getting it started is living hell.
