1988 Wj 500

I have a 1988 WJ 500 that has been just awesome until the last time out on the lake, it starts to cavitate a bit once I start out, but after I swerve back and forth it will engage and then it will run strong. Does anyone have a solution to this issue. I have replace the drive shaft bearings and the pump bearing seem to be good as well as the impellar housing and impellar itlself.
