High Five

[Azure AZ188]

Hello,

My boat is a 2005 Azure AZ 188 with Merc 5.0 L and Alpha one 1:62.

I recently installed a High Five 13.25 X 19 and am very happy with it.
Good out of the hole, 30 mi/hr in 8 seconds and very responsive
and smooth steering. Top end is 49 mi/hr with 5000 rpm WOT.

My question is could it handle the same prop with a 21 pitch
without sacrificing too much on acceleration?

...for sure? Because this one cost me $800.00...

It appears to me that you will give up about 400 rpm,some hole shot and top speed will be a wash.
Keep in mind that nothing about props is carved in stone.
The High 5 is an exceptional prop,but boy thats a lot of dough.
You could have tried 4 or 5 other props for that much money.
I hope you don't boat where hard contact is likely.
