I would like would run a 1967 Merc ss650 on a 18 ft aluminum runabout.
Is the Mercury Prop Chart (attached) an accurate way to judge if the motor will power the boat?
1972 StarCraft 18' Holiday Aluminum OB (Boat specs attached)
I see it as putting the correct prop on the boat if the prop chart is accurate. 1st image gives WOT RPMs for a ss650 Mercury outboard, prop numbers, diameter, pitch, gross load, boat size, and approximate MPH.
Would I be correct in following the prop chart in thinking that this motor will be adequate for powering the boat?
w/ a 13 or 13.5 inch prop w/ a 13 pitch in either a 2 or 3 blade configuration. Thanks for your replies in advance
