Merc/Evinrude prop compatibility

Anyone know if I can put a prop from a late-model Johnson/Evinrude onto a late model Merc outboard? They are both 40-hp 4-strokes with 13-spline hubs.

with the right thrust washer from the J/E and the correct aft hardware it will work if hub size is right for the merc gearcase.
