I am restoring my Glastron V-184 Volvo Penta 270, 200 hp Ford 302. Unfortunately my best prop is sitting at the bottom of a lake due to the fact that the security tangs were not properly set. Can someone help me with the right size and pitch to make this boat combo work best. I will send pictures of the boat, purchased new in 1984. It has been a great boat and will be even better with the best sized prop. By the way, it is the short shaft version.

Thanks in advance,

James Marshall

Short Shaft version?

You have no idea what prop was on it? Do you know the gear ratio of your out drive? What are the not so best props?

I will get some information on the prop I currently substituted. I do not know the gear ratio of the outdrive. Where would I find that.

The boat used to do 42 to 44 MPH at full throttle. Now it does around 35 MPH. The pitch is probably too steep. I am in the final stages of fully restoring the boat.

Thanks,

James
