Michigan Wheel XHS bit loose

I am using a Michigan Wheel vortex prop which utilizes the XHS hub adapter . After installing the prop and tightening it down there still seems to be 1/16 to 1/8 inch of play . Is this normal ?

Not normal. Do you have the correct thrust washer? Different props can sometimes use different thrust washers, than other props on the same motor.

The correct hub kit? Same reason..

You sure the whole prop shaft isn't moving ? A little forward backward play is normal on an alpha drive
