I have a 1965 Johnson 6 HP Model CD-22M Outboard Motor that is missing the prop. Does anyone have a good number or source for this? I have ordered several and they are not correct. This application has the shear pin under the prop nut at the end of the shaft. The shaft is 0.555" in diameter. Later models have the shear pin UNDER the prop.

Near as I can tell is 65-79 has your setup. Pin on top under the nut. Checked in my ser. manuals 55-89.
I do notice that the 65 isn't listed here at Iboats, just the 66-79 I think the older motors perhaps the 5.5 Up to 64 may have there [pin under the prop?
My 55 5 hp Gale has the pin at the top of the prop.
Perhaps your 6 has the older gear case. The break downs of all these motors seems to indicate the pin at the top.
Are you ordering off the internet? The 5 hp straight drive has the pin under the prop.I think these are 65-68.

Thanks for the speedy response and GREAT information! From what I can determine from my online research; the 1965 Johnson 6 HP Model CD-22M used many of the parts from the 5.5 HP CD-20. The prop shaft has a "rubber" push-on prop nut (just like the 5.5 HP) with the shear pin under the nut. The prop is also just like that from the 5.5 HP (OEM 0376968). This has been a learning experience and had it not been for the GREAT information I received from others I would not have been able to work through this. Thanks "steelspike"
