You should not leave your sib outside house in plain sun, try to store at shaded places like garage, if no room available, you could make a system to hang your sib above top car or place lying sideways againt wall at garage. Let me see if can find the prv brand that was mentioned on that post.

Unfortunately, there is no garage where it is currently stored... I do always put a tarp over it-is that enough? Also, here in the Pacific NorthWest, we do have a lot of clouds. :)

Any luck with that pressure release valve? I have looked around and done some research, but haven't been able to come up with anything yet that is a fill/prv solution for a single HR valve.

Pressure Relief Valve.-

Pressure Relief Valve.-

The new pressure relief valve has to be inserted between the inflatable boat and the air source, inflator, electric inflator or air-compressor. When overtaking the best pressure the valve releases the surplus air. It replaces the pressure-gauge. When the inflatable boat is too inflated, through inserting the pressure relief valve into the inflation/deflation valve, the surplus air will be released leading the inflatable boat at its best pressure . It could be fitted to all inflators and to the main valves that are in the market. Opens at 3.50 and closes at 3.05 psi. Will need one for each valve. Covering a boat with a proper carpet is better than leaving it to be punished by the elements.

Reviving an old thread here. Where did you get those one-piece stringers?! I like those... I am going to build an aluminum floor for my Zodiac FC470 so any pointers on where to source materials would be appreciated! I notice there are floorboards from other brands (boats are same dimension) that look like they might fit so maybe I will try that.

Thanks for any input!

Nice floor & transom reinforcements, congrats, lot's of skilled work involved; Don't forget to inflate sib to it's factory recommended working pressure with a gauge if wanting tube rigidity to work well with new transom reinforcements.

Long time wanted to go for the non plus ultra floor update, have placed (2) long one piece side joiners with fabric ends reinforcements on all new large 380-420-460 sibs instead of the standard 4 pieces (2 short, 2 long) factory delivered. Panel floor now has much more front & side rigidity when tubes are well inflated, has eliminated forever the hinge effect experienced on badly inflated sibs's tubes with standard 4 pieces side joiners when using as work boats. Long Live the Sib.

Those long one piece alum side joiners are a special order, sorry not market available, seems we're the only nuts using them worldwide...

Motobando, What is the exact beam width of one of your roll-up beams ? I have found salvaged Mil floor bits over the years at Marine salvage yards. We have a great one near me if you want to PM me. My boat is a Avon CRRC so the roll-up may differ.
It is my understanding the ''Sporty Guys'' in Norfolk Va use 3 piece Al boards with outsourced heavy duty 1 piece side rails in the surf entry's.
Here is a FC470 hard deck image, it's not mine.
Cheers, Squid

Breathing life into an old topic (and boat)
in the middle of a full restoration of a Mercury 430HD pvc model that was formerly owned by another user

The good:
-Yamaha 50 2-stroke (makes good power, needs tune up)
-Hold air
-has seats
-PVC (cheaper and easier to work with than Hypalon)

The Bad:
-Rips where hull meets port pontoon
-several other spots are worn 70% or more through
-transom has severe rot and is delaminating
