Hello everyone,
fairly new to boating and just picked up my first seaworthy vessel, a 97 Bayliner Capri 1950 bowrider. Apparently I missed the boat on the cove over by the high rise bridge and I was wondering if anyone could suggest any decent areas to anchor out with friends and family.

thanks in advance!

Hey. I'm in Northern Suffolk.

We like to go up the James River around Surry. We put in at a ramp called Hog Island in Surry. Our favorite spot is Chipoaks state park. It's like a cul-de-sac of water isolated from the James. So it's calm water. Troll in to about waist deep water and toss anchor. Normally a bunch of boats every weekend. Water is fantastic, and brackish so not really salty. There is also Burwells Bay, and the Chicohaminy River we go to alot.

Really depends on where you are located, and how you Like to boat. In Hampton roads there are a ton of spots.
