Mile, where did you buy just the plastic end pieces and how much were they? Are they the type that articulate in all directions?<br /><br />I needed some years ago, couldn't find em, and rigged something up using an articulating support (one directional movement) designed for something else. I had to get new aluminum poles & cut to size. It works, but the end pieces are a bit bulkier and not quite as smooth looking as the original. Might be worth redoing if cheap enough.
I was looking for just the plastic end attachment pieces for older windshield support tubes (the ball & socket type that articulate in every direction). Are those available without purchasing the entire support bar?
are they available to just anybody? i would assume so, but we just cut our windshield stanchions to the engineers original specifications and bolt those end pieces on. now, i myself personally have only worked with the stainless steel ones, but i could look for some plastic ones for you if you'd like me to, let me know.<br /><br />
