ever heard of "muir made boats"?

i got this small boat last year and have been trying to figure out who made it. the manufacture plate is painted over and woren down. the boat id was hard to read due to painting and aged. then i recently found out it was a muir made boat. now that is as far as i can get. no info on the web. now what?? got no title. it was a florida boat. 14"
15hp motor.

just a generic skiff--nice flat bottom--I'd get rid of that conning tower on the front.

These boats were made in Sarasota, FL. The owner of the company was my Aunt’s father. Mr Muir turned 100 this last October. I can try and get more info from my Aunt if you would like. Not sure when they went out of business.
