Help with transom mount trolling motor

I have a Bayliner Capri Bowrider Outboard and was curious if anyone has ever seen a bracket that can be attached to the stern for a transom mounted trolling motor? I really do not want a bow mount, even though I have a quick release Minn-Kota bracket. Seems that bracket has some sharp edges on it, not good for the skin. Besides the transom mounted trollers are way cheaper than bowmounts. Am I all wet in my thinking? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've not seen one, but some 1/4" thick aluminum plate could be fabbed up pretty quick to do the job. I thought about doing the same, but have not seen any transom mounts with remote controls....

You could also turn the mounting plate so the motor would store at an agle if you need the space up front. It's only my wife and I ( plus the dog ) in the boat.

I made up three stainless steel tubes with washers welded on the bottom to mount to the front. I also have teflon washers to protect the paint. Three 5/16" stainless steel bolts hold it in place.

Thanks for your suggestions. By the way Jeff, cool boat and great scenery! I have to drive many hours to find decent water!
