the reason batteries go dead on the concrete floor is because your grounding them when they touch concrete. If you place a battery on the floor place it on a piece of wood,plastic or some form of padding that keeps the battery from going dead.
it really is amazing that a concrete floor grounds a plastic battery better than a steel chassis on a car, truck, or bulldozer (shoots down the rubber tire excuse)........ Concrete does not discharge batteries..... after all the "ground" that effects the battery is on the top, not the bottom

This is a myth. You can store on concrete fine.

Arty, you don't need to post to 2 year old threads. The original posters are often long gone.
