With a 2002 Johnson 150.
The seller is asking $8500.00 which I think is reasonable. He bought the motor new and has had it serviced regularly. It includes dual batt, GPS, Fish finder, Chart plotter VHF, Stereo. Trailer is OK.
I highly regard the opinions on this board, so if anyone has any, please let me have 'em.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Dave,

Pro Line is a good boat. Stomp around the floor to make sure it's solid.

As for the engine. DO NOT BUY without compression readings on all six.

Re: 1994 Pro-Line CC.....UPDATED!

Are pro lines good boats? i am sure they are. However, how long is it. Had a 17ft. CC that beat the hell out of us in a moderate chop, had to get rid of it because it was so uncomftorable. By all means take it for a ride and look for choppy water. Also had very little room between the consol and sides, always tripping over my feet. Cant comment on the motor as i have no knowledge of them. regards fred

Thanks guys. The Pro-Line is a 19 foot. BUT...I think I may have found a Boston Whaler 18 Outrage with a Johnson 150. I is an older boat(87) but the owner has had it since new and it has been well maintained and kept high and dry for its whole life. I'm gonna talk to him today and see what he wants for it. I know it will be under 9-10,000 which is my limit, but by how much I don't know.

Dave

Dave,
I have a 1993 ProLine 190- pretty much the identical boat to the one you are looking at I believe. If you can buy that rig for $8,500, I would say go for it. Make sure about the engine but the boat is very nice. I have had mine out 20 miles offshore on Florida's west coast and felt very confident. I also have found that it rides very well- excellent re-entry if you do happen to launch it. No banging or pounding, just a smooth "cush" as you hit the water. I've found that the Whalers tend to pound pretty good in rough water.

My boat will run right around 50 with my 150 Merc. There is room for three to fish easily if casting and 4 easily if dropping baits. The console is very big for a 19 footer and has a ton of space. The anchor locker in the front is roomy very convenient. I would like a little bigger fishbox up front, or maybe even a split deck arrangement but I can live with what I have.

After running aluminum deep-Vs, cuddys and bass boats, I love my ProLine. It's a lot of boat for the money and ProLine is a great company. They have helped me a lot and I bought the boat used.

Buy the ProLine and enjoy it. It'll be a good boat for you. Very well built and strong. I particularly like the angled windshield and grab rail- it gives the boat a sleek look.

UFM82

I have a 1993 ProLine 240 walkaround. The boat is solid, and has been in saltwater for the last 12 years. But as a mid-priced line of fishing boats, the fit and finish and not what you will find in a Grady or Whaler, particularly in places they think you won't look much.....

With the comp. test looking good, does $8.500.00 (or less...depending on how negotiable he is) sound like a good price? I think the motor alone is worth a good chunk of that. Am I wrong?

Thanks for the input...really appreciated.

Dave
