Striper fishing little back river savannah ga

I live in Savannah, Ga and wanting to take my son to catch some stripers. I here they are good in little back river on the savannah river, are they there right now and what is the best bait to use?

Not sure how far you venture inland to fish, but there are some really nice dammed up lakes in Georgia that have fantastic stripper fishing. I hear a lot of folks that try stripper fishing close to the actual dams in those lakes and do vertical jigging for them, if we are talking about the same species of strippers. Some nice catches doing that.
