Pair of 200 yamahas on 25 grady sailfish (with bracket). Starboard engine water pump tell-tale stops shooting water or spits above 3500 rpms (which leads to an overheating alarm). Water pump and thermostats were replaced, nothing seems to be clogged, still have problem. Is this a symptom to a bigger problem? Has anyone ever encountered this?

Re: water pressure problems

Have you removed the cover while under power? I had a exhaust gasket failure that would not show with the muffs on or in a tank, only under power and at higher RPMs. Water would squirt out the gasket where the head meets the lower unit adapter, reducing the overall head water circulation. I hope yours is not serious.... -mikec
