WASH??

I have a 1995 yamaha 15hp electric start<br />next to the oil level screw on the lower unit is an identical screw with the word WASH above it. Can someone tell me what the hole is for and how to go about "WASHING" the moter through this hole<br />thanx<br />Warren

Hi Warren,<br />That is for flushing the salt out of your motor if you use it in salt water. After each usage. If you use it in inland waters it is not needed. Your dealer would have the attachment to hook to your garden hose for flushing if you still want to do it.<br />...happy fishing...corm
