stalling issue

I have a 2016 6 h.p. Yamaha four stroke.At first the engine starts up fine and idles nicely,once I begin to accelerate it shuts down as if I hit an off switch.Sometimes it will start after stalling- sometimes it will not until time passes.It does not seem like a gas issue because of the quick finality of the stall out.Any suggestions are appreciated-Regards Andy

Problem solved -apparently the EPA has gotten involved with the gas cap design of the 6 gallon fuel tank-this has led to a venting issue-solved by opening cap slightly while under way- not the best remedy but it works.
