Has Yamaha 703 Manual Choke. Ran perfect, next day turn key no response. Starter, Gauges, fuses, Shift Position,Trim, Choke Switch, Lanyard all have power and check out. Suspect a relay for starter or Ignition Switch. Turn key to On position gauges active, next position to start nothing, no clicking etc heard just dead. What part is culprit.

Remove and check battery cables at the battery and the starter and solenoid....damp marine environment often causes corrosion in these areas....clean each connection with Scotchbrite pad, then a dab of grease on all surfaces, then tighten them...

neutral start switch in the control is not letting the electricity get to the start relay would be my guess.
move the shifter back and forth a few times to make sure the shifter is in neutral

Check the battery voltage just to be sure it's 12.6 or more.

Pull-start it with a rope. That's the way to absolutely confirm if it's in neutral or in gear. Be careful when you do that obviously.

Check the neutral switch for continuity.
Check the engine shut-off switch for continuity.
Check the fuse for continuity.
Check the wiring harness for continuity.
Check the starter motor pinion and make sure it rotates smoothly. If it doesn't, then listen for the operation sound of the starter relay.

If all that checks out, then there's probably something wrong with the starter motor.

Found It. It is the safety gear shift (lanyard) type button mounted the left side of the engine. Appears the depress button
is broken not allowing a connection of the brown wire to the starter. Anyone know what the part number is and best place to order one.

safety lanyard (Man over board) is a kill switch not a switch that keeps the starter from engaging.

is this motor a tiller that was converted to a remote?

hard to understand what motor you are talking about if you do not give the complete model #
