Bit of a sniff around the auto shops today I couldn’t lay my hands on a set of plugs for it the handbook says BPR6EA9, I can get an NGK Marine which is a BPR7 something, how critical is it to use the right plug? It’s only a difference in heat range BPR5,6,7 etc it currently has BPR5EA plugs in it, our unleaded fuel here can range from 91 points to 97 non ethanol, I want to put the best plug in it I can .

Wrong plugs can lead to cold fouling, at the least. To holes in pistons. Changing heat range is about the worst thing you can do... Get the right plugs, or be ready to repair a broken engine, and then get the right plugs.
