My trim and tilt will work for about ten seconds and then quits. After a few hours it will again run for about ten seconds and quit. I replaced the relay switch but the problem persists. I filled the trim fluid to full so that's not the problem.
Could it be I need a new motor? I'm supposed to go fishing in Canada the first of June so I hope I can get this resolved soon. Any help would be great.

Have you made sure all the contacts are 100% clean and tight, no corrosion in the wires, and that the motor isn't drawing too many amps?

A bad connection or worn out motor can overheat and cause it to shut down.

Try jumping directly to the contacts on the trim motor and see what happens.

The motor will have a thermal limit switch in it. It sounds like yours has gotten weak. It's most likely part of the brush holder assembly. Which is available separately if your half way handy with that sort of thing.
