having a problem with my tilt/trim.its not going up unless pressure is applied to the outdrive.is this a hydralic system or a mechanical one?where does the fluid go?what type of fluid?any maintance i can do?any help is great......thankyou.............the boat is a 1986 bayliner capri with a 5.0...thanks again

If you have either a 270, 275, or 280 outdrive, then you have a mechanical lift. Which is tilt only, no trim.

will find out thanks for the quick response.how do i figure out whick drive it is?sorry for so little info..its a buddys boat and im trying to help......once again thanks for the help...
