looking at a 1990 cranchi 21 (start 21 I think to be precise as far as I know) fitted with a volvo aq211a and a duoprop sterndrive , the boat looks to be in great shape for the age , everything nice and in place, I am waiting to sell my current boat first before getting this , but I just need some advice what to look for on these engines and sterndrives , and how to properly check them , i had my fair share of outboards from 2 to 150hp on which I did 90% of fixing and maintenance so I am no stranger to boats , just didn't have a inboard yet, I guess normal stuff like compression, debris in oil, any play in the prop shaft , anything else to look at ? also there is some surface rust on top of the engine and manifolds, should that worry me ?
