After docking and shutting off the engine, a blue oil/fuel sheen appears at the transom. I have checked the trim cylinders (both ok, one was rebuilt last year) and the trim tabs (both new) to make sure they are not the culprits.

Is there any other likely source of the oil?

I posted separately that the boat is running cool, is it possible that this is unburned fuel making its way through the exhaust?

Definitely a possibility. I run my carb'd boat in Lake Tahoe and if it sits idling for awhile, I always see a sheen. Lake Tahoe is high elevation so the engine is running extra rich. Even in my driveway running on muffs, I see a sheen on the ground.
