Ok I have a leak and see the seal is shot so I have ordered from England and should be here in a week
I have also ordered a new bearing
My question is this I see no retaining ring for the bearing it is just pressed flush

According to all the Diagrams I have seen for Johnson pumps this is not correct ideas ?

I have done a couple of them, but it has been s few years. There is a you-tube video on the the repair. I can't remember a C-clip or not. I did have to make a little crescent shaped piece of flat stock to drive the bearing out. Check out the video. I got the seal at a dealer for about 6 dollars. Good luck Dave-R

New seal and bearing is the way to go. I did mine several years ago, no circlip. My bearing started to back out as the interference fit didn't interfere much. re-built it again after 5 hours running but used Loctite on the bearing, it's been good now for 8 years.
I have a Viton double lipped seal and a SKF stainless bearing standing by for the next time.

Im in Manitoba, Canada tried a few paced and had no luck. When you google it the place in England comes up right away on e bay. If there is a North American supplier would love to have the name .

the NA website from volvo is volvopentastore.com. (just go thru the iBoats links) if needed, find the number and use google. I found an independent dealer about 10 miles from me that has a warehouse full of NOS volvo stuff.

its an ITT Jabsco or a Johnson pump (Volvo uses both) both companies are US companies. if you have the seal and the bearing, simply read the numbers off them and get them at your local bearing house (such as motion control, grainger, etc.)

FYI Ebay is more expensive than the local dealers. doesnt matter if its boat parts or car parts.

Scott Danforth The USA Volvo site is geolocked so cannot be accessed outside the USA unless using a VPA or smart DNS. Don't ask me why ask Volvo, but it is probably because most USA part are 35% to 50% cheaper than here in Europe.

I was sure that canada used the same NA volvo site. I know that volvo sites are geo-centric either way, the point is.... if you google the part number of the seal you will find hundreds of places to buy it, not just ebay in the UK
