I know these motors aren't popular, but it was on the boat I got for cheap.

engine runs (1970 sears 7 HP sea horse model 217-58531) shifts from N., starts up just fine. the issue is can't take the throttle must past "start" without the engine bogging down and killing.

ordered a carb kit (tecumseh powerhead DI-52030), and a maintenance manual off ebay, just wondering if there is something else I should be looking for/at.

other projects- it isn't spitting water, while I wait on my manual anyone want to walk me thru replacing the impeller (and know the part number/ where to get one?)

Thanks guys!

Needs a fuel pump bladder which is in the carb kit. The impellor is easy. Disconnect shift shaft and remove foot bolts. Drop foot and remove pump housing. Remove old impellor.I use a little Vaseline inside the metal housing to help get the impellor seated.Spin drive shaft clockwise while putting the housing cover on to seat the impellor and re-install everything. Yours is a 1970 year 7 hp. I sent you a private message as well
