  • Bolt Hole...should it be plugged

Got a bolt hole in the block back behind the oil pressure sending unit. should this have a bolt in it? To my knowledge, it has been like that since I have had the boat. The picture makes it look like it is verticle, but it sits mostly on a horizontal. Just trying to cover all my bases.Click image for larger version

I think it is a pipe thread hole for a knock sensor used in an automotive application.
