engine interchangeability

I have a '85 Seaswirl "Spitfire" model that I really love. It is the best handling boat I have ever had. The only problem is the motor is getting tired, and it is carbureted. The motor can be freshened, but adding fuel injection? Is that a possibility? <br />I was also wondering about a possible change to a fuel injected 4.3Liter. Is the interchange information available?<br />Thanks for any help you can give.<br />Bob

HI,<br />Yes it can be done, but sometimes the job is alot of work. Check your local dealer for mounting and install instructions to see<br />if it will fit in the old transom hole.<br />...good luck...corm
