Installing an engine hour meter - how I did it and my results

I put one of those cheap Amazon hour meters on my Evinrude outboard (https://amzn.to/2OLcnOl) - here's the video of the install and findings - works pretty well.

What's the use to install an induction meter under the cowl. Should have installed it screwed at front cowl, there will be able to visually check idle revs along max wot rpm range achieved as loaded if plan venturing to play with different prop pitches.

Or screwed to dashboard with extended pick up cable. a matter to check with manufacturer what's the max extended cable length that can be used once routed from engine to dashboard for a exact reading.

This doesn't track RPM, it simply tracks the time the engine has been running for.

Ooops. sorry that´s the issue about reading too darn fast the titles It's an Hour, not a Tach Hour meter.
