74 rendova ignition coil wiring

I have a 74 rendova with a 305 Chevy v8... I have ignition issues... It cranks over just fine but there is no fire. There are 3 wires going to the ignition coil. Can you tell me what each wire goes to and how to hook it up on the coil?

The boat doesn't matter and Chevy doesn't build I/Os. Who did?

On plus side of coil, purple wire supplying 9 volts via ballast resistor wire and yellow/red connected to starter i terminal

Coil negative would get wire from points and grey tach wire

Most likely you did not service the points

File points, gap points, verify dwell, set timing....go boating
