HIRED MARINA
They use a outside man ,The only painter marina allows on property too paint all their customers boats
Went over everything he is going too do,
Starts job this coming Monday and will take all week ,
Ruff bottom , barrier , 3 coats , water line , painting outdrives
NEXT QUESTION - ZINCS
twin Volvo Penta SX duo drives ,
Presently there are 2 zincs on each drive , A horse shoe zinc mounted between top & bottom of drive.
Also there is a zinc mounted on bottom of gimbal
One 5 inch circle zinc on each trim tab
Also noticed on line they sell a zinc that is mounted behind props , and one more in that general area .
I have stainless duo props ,
What would happen if I mount a number of zincs, swim platform , more on trim tabs , ETC , does it reach a point of over kill or the more the merrier ?
Number of thru hull fittings such as Head , A/C , generator macerator , drain plug , should I remove , run a fresh coat of 5200 ?
Bellows ,seem good , How about the gasket that goes behind gimbal & transom ??
Holy cow , I am opening a Pandora's Box ??
All this parts are 15 years old , gaskets could be brittle or leaving in water works the opposite ,
Am I thinking too much ?
