Tiller->Steering , which kit ?

Motor - 1987 Mercury 25hp 2 Stroke , (year known thanks to forum member)
Boat - 15ft Gregor, which has a splash well.

The length I'll measure for.

However, which steering kit do I need ? rotary ? rack & pinion ?

Here is a picture of the motor I have.

Hi,

Either will work. It just depends on which style you want.
Sometimes it depends on how big your steering console is.
If it is real short, width wise, you would need a rotary.
Your going to need a conversion kit for your engine to hook up
the remote control box and steering cable. I don't know if you can buy it anymore so you may have to make one. Some guy made one and posted a picture of it earlier this year.
