I'm in search of a round filter screen cap with fuel inlet for 1972 mercury 1500 . Pulled the boat out and fired it up to discover stress fractures leaking fuel on the screen cap. Anyone have one or know where I can find one. Been looking but no luck.
Thanks

Must have been a Prototype, as the 1500 wasn't introduced until 73. Serial# please

Well still no luck , Crowley did not have one , they referred me to another place in Kansas and same , no part.
I talked to a friend at work in the machine shop and he will make me one from aluminum.

This could be a profitable business for someone with a 3D Printer cloning original obsolete parts.

There must be a dealer near you with a few of those engines lying on the ground in the yard.
