I have yet another question regarding my Merc 140. I am in the process of rebuilding the carb. Is it worth setting the valves ? I know they are hydraulic but i don't think they have ever been done. I am trying to get this motor to purr. Also has anyone ever taken the lifters out and cleaned them to get them smoother ? Is all this worth it or am i just wasting my time ?
