While motor was out and being painted before being reinstalled, I examined and phot-ed alternator. I could not find any numbers or decals to indicate model/brand/amps, etc. Anyone recognize it and its amps? I'd like to know, just in case I need to order a new or more powerful one. It has a red and black wire and a plug that also has a red wire and black wire. THX!

Being a dual belt model I`m guessing it`s not a stock 55A rated alt. Maybe a 100A unit because of the dual belts. The small Red and Black(Purple?) are sense (constant 12volt source) and excite (switched 12v source)

'Chevy V8' doesn't tell us much. Is it a 305, 350, 377, 454, 502???? Got a serial number, or at the very least, a year?

They are not vortex. I guess 90 something blocks that have been retroed to strokers. Heat exchanger/mounting hardware covers up serial number on block. Another forum indicated that they were
Delco three wire ADR0106 10SI. 105-140 amp models. THX!
