Mallory advance curve

What is the basic advance timing curve on a 1979 mercursier mcm 260 thats in a 23 ft. Thunderbird formula f233. And what color springs should i put in the mallory mechanical advance

Initial advance is 8 degrees BTDC....

My Merc shop manual doesn't call out any spring colours. I assume if you need new springs, you buy them from Merc, and they are the right ones. With the above chart, you should be able to find the right springs in the aftermarket world.

Chris, the engine could have an aftermarket Mallory YLM dizzy. however the advance is pre-set for a GM SBC
