I am looking for a MerCrusier adaptor housing for a 3.0L 470. I am looking to convert a 470 stern drive to an inboard. The local Mercury shop found the part #, 90334A1, for me to connect a Velvet Drive 71-10-17 or a 72-10-18. I am in the process of refitting a 1949 Chris 23' express. The Chrysler Crown SM7 is seized and I do not have the funds to rebuild it. Putting in the MerCrusier will give me a little more horse power and heat exchanger cooling.

Ayuh,....... Welcome Aboard,...... I think you should seriously rethink yer options,.....

Spendin' money on an obsolete, problematic old worn out 470 is definitely not a good option,....
Many to most parts for that motor are NLA,.....

If you need an in-line motor, the ole GM I-6s, though also obsolete, are a better motor, 'n there's more parts still available,.....

Btw,..... That part number is just the standard Chevy, to 6-bolt Pto flywheel cover that mates to most transmissions, 'n Pto adapters,.....

As stated above, go with a V6 or V8
