1962 Johnson Shift Shaft Seal Replacement

Thank you for this thread!! I've read over and over that it is knocked out from the bottom to the top, but mine, like yours, comes in from the bottom so it must be driven out top to bottom. I musta looked at each side a couple dozen times before I told myself I must be crazy because it looks like it has to be driven out the opposite of what everyone is saying. Thanks again for the pictures and the post.
