Johnson Seahorse 5.5 help with model number

Recently aquired a Seahorse 5.5 hp. Pretty sure year is 1961. Plate is missing from transom. Serial number is on freeze plug, but not model number. Does anyone know of another location to look for model number on these or a way I can be sure? I was reading somewhere that in 61 was when they changed to needle bearings so without knowing the year for sure i'm not sure what mixture I should run. I have attached a picture of the motor. 1964 was the changeover year - I'd run 24:1 in her.

Going by your cowling, you have a 1961, making it a CD-18.

I have a cd-17 1960 5.5 and the cowling is a little different.
