  • Difference between 95' and 97' V8 Johnson gearcases

What the difference between a 95 and a 97 gearcase other then model #? All the Part #s are the same. I'm wondering if I can run the 97 gearcase on my older Johnsons since I'm running the 95s on there now. Anyone know if this will work? Oh and my johnsons are 300hp

If all the part numbers are the same, why are you asking about differences?

They will work as long as they are from the 250-300HP V-8 motors and not from the 250Hp V-6 motors
      When in doubt,Trim it out!!!
