Low speed idle know

I have an 83 evinrude 25 h.p. It doesn't have a knob on the low speed idle screw, and it's a discontinued item. I'm just curious if anyone has successfully replaced it with some generic knob and where you found it, or what you used.

I am cheap.-------I would drill a wee hole and push in a roll pin.---Stainless of course.

lots or radio knobs on amazon or try TIM's outboard parts or classified adds at AOMCI

Try the selection of wood drawer knobs at your local home center or hardware store. Drill one to provide a snug fit for the needle.

Those splined snap on carb knobs were used on a multitude of Evinrude & Johnson motors. It would be difficult to list all the possible variations.

EDIT: 205486 and 205231 are just a couple of possibilities.

ACE hardware has a bunch of knobs in the hardware area (nuts, bolts, screws, etc).
