1990 Evinrude 88

I have a 1990 Evinrude 88. It will not start at all. Turn the key and nothing happens! It ran perfectly fine and then I changed the water pump and now nothing!!!! I need help!!!!

A little more detail please. When you say turn the key and nothing do you not hear a click or anything?

Will the motor turn freely cranking it but wont start? Are you in neutral for sure?

Check the battery connections.

+1 on the battery -- which you probably unhooked when working on the water pump (reversed polarity?)

Why would you disconnect the battery to do the waterpump.

You wouldn't, but you could still have a bad connection !!

Got it figured out! Blown inline fuse!!!!!
