I have a motor that has 2 fuel lines one to pressure the tank one for fuel is it possible to install a fuel pump and just go with one fuel line, or any idea how to convert to just one line.
The pressure tanks are very well built / reliable / safe / easy to repair / parts are available.-----I would rely on one far more than some of the cheap plastic junk made today !
An easy job if you do not want to keep the motor in original condition
you need...
- a single line side connector to replace the dual one
- you either use the converted air pressure nipple behind the carb to get vacum pulses to run a 3 legged pump
-or get a side cover plate with the necessary mounting holes to install a pump and directly use vacum pulses from the the crankcase
- or.. you shape a plate over aside cover port and mount the pump on it
you can get cheap omc square pumps on e-bay or amazon (30$) or even cheaper 3 legged Briggs Straton pumps for 10$
all methods worked fine on mine but a pump over the side cover plate is the better way to go . you can find side cover plates with pump mounting hole already made if you go that way just plug the side air nipple behind the carb with a short piece of hose a fat screw and tie wrap.
?-----Even the little square pump used on the 4 hp models is used on the 25 hp 22 cubic inch models.----You can not tell pump capacity by physical size.
