2003 honda 50 that has having problems starting because of a corroded battery cable so i replaced the cable today and now it will not crank. there is a click from the starting solenoid and i tested the reistance over the solenoid when the boat was starting and its working properly. the engine will trim up and down and also when trying to start there is whining sound coming from the started area.
i turned the starting gear with a wrench to make sure it wasnt seized and the engine turned by using the emergency start rope.
The battery is brand new and i also took the battery out of my car and tried that and both times it just clicked and nothing happened.
