Question about the 3 cylinder, single carb force engine. Does this design lead to variable oil delivery to the cylinders and early failure? If so what is best to prevent this?

thanks

I never liked the 3 cyl. with only one carb :(
Seems the fuel mix doesn't always get to the top cyl.
Running your oil a t 40-1 might make it live longer.
But you'll need to change the plugs more and do a decarb more often.

Thanks. So youve seen lots of these motors wear out on too cylinder early?

Not lots but they seem to loose the top cyl. more than a motor with 3 carbs.???

These typically sudden failures or just premature worn cylinder bore?

From what I understand, the top cyl doesn't get the lubrication and if the oil's
not the low/no ash it carbon's the rings and premature failure happens.
The better the oil the lower the chance.
Using a bit more oil and doing a de-carb more often can help??
No matter the brand carbon forms, so a regular de-carb will help.
