Hello,
Just purchased a 1988 VIP Victory.
Has a 1987 Force 125 Model: 128V7B Outboard Motor on it
This boat is in need of major restoration. And I know very little about restoring boats. This is my first boat.
First issue I have run into is find a Throttle Control (Factory or Universal that is compatible). With most costing more than I paid for the boat itself im hesitant to order one without knowing it will be compatible.
The destroyed one I do believe is a universal.

See attached photos to know why I need to replace it.

I think the 87 came with the trim switch on the dash.
The shifter you can use is any Force/ Chrysler controls.
The one I'm sending along has the
t@t
switch in the handle.
It can be changed over or just use the one on the dash.

Good luck on the rebuild.

First thing is do a compression test.
No reason to spend $$$$ on a dead motor.
