I own a 1990 Sea Ray with a 1998 Mercury outboard. Any suggestions on correcting this? Steering to the left is very loose, meaning it takes several turns of the wheel before the engine moves. Mainly when on plane at 10 mph or more.

I would get some new fittings, cut the ends off and reinstall. Then fill and bleed

I would turn them fittings on the ram sideways, it must kink them when you raise the motor. Or install some 90 degree fittings.
